About the aset wealth fund
BWWA proudly offers wealth building grants to our members whose focuses upon building Generational Black Wealth. Since 2017, we’ve invested nearly $80,000 in grants to Black women entrepreneurs, students and towards transportation support.
Our Aset Wealth Fund uses a combination of resources to support economic aspirations of Historical Black women. One of our biggest resource tools is through our partnerships with Micro Grant organization.
Our grants are dedicated to supporting Historical Black women in four key areas. Business, Education, Transportation and to help remove wealth building barriers around financial planning, taxes, bank accounts and credit repair.
Aset Wealth Fund Process:
Micro Grant requests are reviewed and approved by our grants committee and are processed over a 30 day period which happens within three phases.
Phase I: Pre- Application: Applicants are required to complete our pre- application to determine the viability of their grant requests. Pre-Applications will be open for a total of two weeks during our grants calendar year.
Phase II: If a prospective grantee is selected to move forward to the next phase of the grant process, they will be invited to complete a full grant application.
Phase III: Grantee will connect with BWWA on next steps.

Our grant opportunities are open four times a year depending on funding availability.
